In addition to his wife Rose, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Thomas, John, Charles, and William, two sisters, Mary MacLean and Ann Brinkert-Bostwick, and an infant son, Patrick Joseph Dwyer. He enjoyed singing and community theater in earlier years and participated in several local theater groups, including the Mystic Players in Medford. A gifted artist, he received numerous awards for his portraits and pastels. He was also very active at the Woburn Senior Center, enjoying daily lunches there. He was an annual participant in veteran’s parades throughout the area. He was a lifetime member and past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, a member of the George Campbell Post 101 American Legion, the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 88, and the VFW Post 543. Electric in Malden for thirty-two years until his retirement in 1974. Dwyer worked as a draftsman, and was employed by Mass. Army in the European-African-Middle Eastern Theatre and in Rome, Italy. He lived in Dorchester for a few years, then in Cambridge and Revere before moving to Woburn in 1966.Ī veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. He grew up in Cambridge and graduated from Cambridge High and Latin in 1930.
